Share8Depuis qu’il a repris les affaires familiales, Jim Buss a toujours clamé qu’Andrew Bynum était intouchable et qu’il n’entendait se séparer de son chouchou à aucun prix.

Et bien il semblerait finalement que sa ligne de pensée se soit légèrement infléchie et qu’il soit désormais prêt à envisager un tel scénario à condition que ce soit pour le bon prix, aka, pour Dwight Howard. Du côté de D12, ça tombe très bien parce que les Lakers sont justement l’une de ses destinations de choix et qu’un tandem Gasol-Howard serait tout bonnement injouable, mais on ne sait pas encore si Orlando serait intéressé par l’actuel pivot de L.A.

Ken Berger de CBSsports parlait ce matin d’un rumeur d’un échange à trois équipes qui pourrait envoyer Andrew Bynum aux Bucks, Andrew Bogut à Orlando et Dwight Howard aux Lakers. On imagine que les scénarios de ce type vont se multiplier dans les semaines et les mois qui viennent…

Les Knicks ne seraient pas les seuls à tenter de recruter le vétéran des Suns.

Share Décidément, ces derniers temps les Lakers sont dans beaucoup de rumeurs de signatures. Même si leur cap space est des plus minces, les Californiens auraient l’intention de faire quelques petits changements dans leur roster. Normal quand on s’est fait salement sweeper lors des derniers playoffs.

Si les Knicks restent l’équipe visiblement la plus motivée pour signer le vétéran des Suns, les Lakers auraient semble-t-il aussi décidé d’en faire une de leurs cibles. Reste à savoir si les Lakers comptent toujours conserver Ron Artest et Matt Barnes, deux joueurs qui jouent sur le même poste que Grant Hill.

Côté New York, Alan Hahn de Newsday précise que si Grant Hill refuse de signer, ils pourraient alors se tourner vers Caron Butler, autre joueur qui sera certainement très courtisé dans les prochains jours.

Howard va pas signer aux Lakers je pense. Déjà qu'on le compare à Shaq' et qu'il en a marre. D'autant plus que le gros Shaq aime bien le tacler dans les médias. S'il part d'Orlando pour LA, vous imaginez le boucan que ça va faire ? Il a pas intérêt à se rater après ça donc je le vois pas trop partir là bas mais bon en NBA....

Et puis Bynum offensivement c'est autre chose qu'Howard. Bynum s'il arrête de se blesser c'est un pivot qui peut dominer le NBA à mon avis.

J'ai beaucoup d'imagination...mais la je n'arrive pas à voir Howard avec le maillot jaune des Lakers

Quant à Grant Hill, même vétéran, je le prendrai bien pour San Antonio...

Oui moi aussi j'ai toujours aimé ce joueur, mais il a un peu perdu de son jeu.
C'est le bordel absolu en NBA, alors que le deal envoyant CP3 aux Lakers était presque fait, la NBA a annulé le transfert sous la pression de plusieurs GM mécontents. Du coup tous les joueurs inclus dans le deal font la tronche car ils restent dans le club qui voulait se débarrasser d'eux!!

On se doutait que ça allait arriver mais c'est bien triste. C'est dommage que ça tombe sur lui, un des rares joueurs qui pouvait être dominant sans être un phénomène athlétique.

Un jour faudra bien qu'ils se posent des questions les américains... En Europe y'a pas autant de blessure au genou il me semble ?

A force de prendre des trucs à la con pour gonfler les muscles, les articulations suivent pas les gars... Et puis les calendriers de fous ça aide pas. Mais bon tout le monde s'en fout, tant pis pour Oden, tant pis pour Roy, tant pis pour Dice ou Webber à l'époque hein...

C'est pas faux, Tof. Mais la NBA est un business, le client est roi, et le client veut voir des matches tous les soirs et des dunks de malade.
Tant pis, on pourra plus être fan de Roy, mais y a 15 stars en devenir qui font la queue.

Ca fait parti du sport, t'en a cité pas mal Tof, mais tu as oublié le principal pour moi, le plus grand gachi de l'histoire de ce sport, c'est Penny Hardaway qui aurait du devenir une légende et un des top 3 meneurs de tous les temps!!

Je l'ai pas vu jouer moi donc j'ai pas pensé tout de suite à ce joueur. Mais je sais à quel point il te tient à coeur

Knicks acquire Chandler from Mavs, waive Billups

GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) -- The anchor of the Dallas Mavericks' defense now centers one of the league's best frontcourts.
Tyson Chandler joined the New York Knicks on Saturday, in the belief that joining, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire means he's not done competing for championships.

The Knicks have long needed a defensive presence, and Chandler plans to provide it.
"I know what my job is coming here," he said. "I know I came here to defend. I'm going to defend the rim, I'm going to rebound, I'm going to get extra shots. And I think if we play on both ends and play as a team, the sky is definitely the limit for this squad."
Chandler gets a four-year contract worth about $56 million after coming to the Knicks via sign-and-trade as part of a three-team deal. The Knicks sent Ronny Turiaf and cash to the Washington Wizards and reserve guard Andy Rautins to the Mavericks, and there were other picks involved.
The Knicks also waived point guard Chauncey Billups and designated him as their amnesty player so they could afford Chandler.
The 7-foot-1 Chandler helped the Mavericks win the NBA championship last season, averaging 10.1 points and 9.4 rebounds, and at first hoped he would return to Dallas. But the Mavericks wanted to keep other options open, and when the Knicks emerged as a surprising option, they quickly become Chandler's preferred one.
"The Knicks were never on my radar. I'd never seen them as being a possibility and once I got word that it could potentially happen, they became my No. 1 priority was to get here," Chandler said.
It took some work, notably using the amnesty clause to waive Billups so his $14.2 million salary wouldn't count for salary cap or luxury tax purposes. Billups was their starting point guard last season after coming with Anthony in a trade from Denver and was expected to return, with the Knicks picking up his option for this season in April when they would have owed him just $3.7 million had they waived him within five days after the season ended.
"We didn't want to get rid of Chauncey and when I talked to him today I told him, `Chauncey, it's not like we're waiving you because we don't want you. Look at it as what it is. We traded you basically for the starting center on the NBA championship team,"' interim general manager Glen Grunwald said.
Long undersized - Dwight Howard blocked more shots than they did as a team two seasons ago - the Knicks eagerly welcomed the 225-pound Chandler. His No. 6 jersey - guard Landry Fields switched to No. 2 so Chandler could have it - covered most of Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan's body when he held it up for a photo.
Chandler later posed alongside Anthony and Stoudemire, two of league's elite scorers. Now the Knicks have a stopper, too.
"Last year was an amazing run and I think after you win a championship it's hard to go backwards," Chandler said, "and the only thing I wanted in free agency was an opportunity to continue to chase that dream and continue to win championships."
Though it was often believed the Knicks wouldn't be spenders this offseason while saving their money for free agency in 2012, Grunwald felt adding a player such as Chandler was a better strategy for building a contender.
"When we looked at things this past summer and over the fall, we said it'd be great to get someone like Tyson Chandler. Well, we got Tyson Chandler, so that's even better," he said.
"Our plans haven't changed. Tyson was the top of our list in terms of free agents this year. We took a look at everything, we felt this was the best move for us to build a team both in the short term and in the long term."

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -- The Lakers traded forward Lamar Odom and a second-round draft pick to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night for a first-round pick and an $8.9 million trade exception, capping Los Angeles' stunning 72-hour breakup with last season's Sixth Man of the Year.

The Lakers and Mavericks reached a swift deal after Odom learned Thursday that Los Angeles was attempting to trade him in a megadeal for New Orleans superstar Chris Paul.
After the NBA blocked that trade, Odom declined to report to the Lakers' opening day of training camp on Friday. Odom then requested a trade in a meeting with general manager Mitch Kupchak, and the Lakers improbably swung a deal with the rival Mavericks, who swept Los Angeles out of the second round of last season's playoffs.
"Lamar was a fine player for us in his seven years with the Lakers and was a key to helping us win two championships," Kupchak said in a statement. "In addition, he always conducted himself with class and professionalism, and we wish him well in the remainder of his career."
Neither team formally acknowledged the deal until Sunday night, but both teams knew all about the surprising transaction when they reported for training camp practices that morning.
"To be honest with you, I don't like it," Kobe Bryant said. "It's tough to lose Lamar. Pau (Gasol) is still here, and we're all thankful for that. It's hard when you've been through so many battles with players to just see them go somewhere else. It's tough."
Dallas coach Rick Carlisle and star Dirk Nowitzki spoke eagerly about adding Odom to the defending NBA champions' roster without losing a player in return. Odom will aid the Mavs' recovery from Tyson Chandler's departure, and Carlisle said Odom's partnership with Nowitzki and Shawn Marion would form the NBA's best frontcourt.
The Lakers used to have what was considered the NBA's best frontcourt - until they broke it up for reasons that are unclear to their players. Odom, a veteran team leader and a popular Hollywood celebrity, averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3 assists while playing in all 82 games last season with his smooth, well-rounded game.
Bryant and Derek Fisher led a chorus of confused anger from the Lakers, who have no idea what their front office is planning just two weeks before the season opener. Los Angeles is thought to be working on a deal for Orlando center Dwight Howard, but the trade exception obtained from Dallas could be only a minor part of any potential deal.
"As a basketball player, it confuses you as to what your focus should be," Fisher said. "I'm very disappointed and frustrated for (Odom and Gasol). If I had my choice, Lamar would be a Laker for life."
Bryant said he hated seeing Odom leave Los Angeles: "Especially to them. We were supposed to come back and get them back. It's tough. ... Do I think we got too little? Who did we get? I don't think Mark Cuban is protesting this trade."
Although Odom was excited about the Lakers' prospects as recently as Wednesday, he never practiced with the Lakers in their first three workouts under new coach Mike Brown while the club attempted to move him to New Orleans. After that three-team deal fell through, the Lakers apparently changed their focus to Howard, who loves Los Angeles and has requested a trade from the Magic.
Gasol, the other main component in the squashed deal for Paul, has been at the Lakers' training complex for all three days of camp, working out the past two days. He remains hopeful he'll stay in Los Angeles, but the four-time All-Star no longer knows what to think about his near future.
"I understand this is a business, and it's become more of a business than a sport nowadays," Gasol said. "It hasn't been extremely easy to be calm and quiet and not think about the different possibilities. But I'm still here, and I'm thankful for that."
Although Bryant expressed his faith in Kupchak, he would prefer to have Odom in camp as the Lakers regroup from last season's failed attempt at a threepeat. Odom starred in a reality show last season with his wife, Khloe Kardashian, clearly enjoying his celebrity at the main intersection of sports and entertainment.
"You're talking about the sixth man of the year last year," Bryant said of Odom. "He played lights-out. I don't understand the criticism of reality shows and this. I don't get that. He had his best season last year, clearly wasn't a distraction, played his (rear) off. I don't get where that comes from."
Even Odom's contract is a good deal for his new employers: He will make $8.9 million this season in the third year of a four-year deal, which can be bought out next season for a modest amount. The Lakers' trade exception means they can acquire a player making Odom's salary or less without the usual complications, but it would be only one part of a hypothetical deal for Howard or another star.
With this chaos on top of the usual amount of drama surrounding the high-profile Lakers, Brown is attempting to plan for a season with no idea who will be in his lineup in two weeks when Los Angeles hosts the Chicago Bulls in their Christmas season opener. Gasol and fellow big man Andrew Bynum went through their third day of workouts on Sunday not knowing whether they would have a chance to use all this new information.
Lakers forward Matt Barnes has been in contact with Howard, his former teammate in Orlando. Barnes said he doesn't need to sell Howard on the Lakers - but this team now might have to sell its own players on their future in purple and gold.
"If I'm here, I'm looking forward to the season," said Bynum, who knows he's rumored to be the main component in any proposed deal for Howard. "If they were able to pull a move like that off, it would be great for the organization, and I'd be in Orlando hooping."

Apparemment ce serait les Clippers qui seraient en pôle pour récupérer Paul mais les négociations achoppent car les Hornets veulent le premier tour de draft des Clippers en 2012 et Eric Gordon. Or apparemment la draft 2012 s'annonce énorme (peut être que les Clippers ont un choix assez haut par rapport à un ancien trade), ça je sais pas. Et puis Eric Gordon c'est une pépite...

Les Clippers devront se résoudre à lâcher le tour de draft surement. Mais déjà avec un cing : Paul-Gordon-Butler-Griffin-Jordan, y'a du lourd !

Je dirais mème plus : tout devient encore plus "business" qu'avant. Le coup d'Odom c'est quand même dingue, je comprends la réaction de kobe...Les espagnols ils deveniaent fous si Pau il partait et on avait parlé du départ de Scola aussi je crois,...moi je rêve toujours de voir Scola aux Spurs...laissez-moi rèver !

Et Billups qui va chez les Clippers maintenant ! Avec Butler, ils deviennent une équipe solide pour l'année prochaine. Mais où va donc finir Chris Paul? Il doit se le demander aussi lui Peut-être qu'il va rester finalement?

Paul headed to Clippers in blockbuster trade

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Chris Paul is headed to Los Angeles for real this time -- to the Clippers, not the Lakers.
The Hornets traded Paul to the Clippers for guard Eric Gordon, forward Al-Farouq Aminu, center Chris Kaman and a first-round draft choice.

The deal required the approval of NBA Commissioner David Stern because the Hornets are owned by the league.
For Paul, Wednesday night's trade means no more lame-duck practices - or ducking questions -- in New Orleans.
It also ended a tortured week in which the Hornets' season sat in limbo, while the NBA took a public relations beating over everything from potential conflicts of interest to hampering the team's pursuit of free agents to disrespecting the New Orleans fan base.
"I knew we were doing the best thing for New Orleans and that was my job," Stern said. "You have to stick with what you think was right. I must confess it wasn't a lot of fun, but I don't get paid to have fun."

Stern said he never allowed other owners' opinions or considerations of large and small markets to determine where Paul, one of the NBA's biggest stars, would end up. He said his only focus was on getting the best deal for the Hornets.
That may take time to determine. But for now, the Hornets at last have a measure of certainty about the roster they'll have when the regular season begins in less than two weeks.
Paul, already a star with international appeal, gets to play in one of the NBA's biggest markets, even if his new team plays in the shadow of the Lakers. That's the club Paul was almost traded to last week, only to have Stern nix the deal and unleash a torrent of bad publicity on his league just as it was trying to generate good will following a nearly five-month labor dispute that has already caused a shortening of the season.
Then again, maybe there is no such thing as bad publicity - or as Stern called it, "a frenzy." Even with the NFL's Saints on a five-game winning streak and wrapping up a playoff spot, the Hornets-and-Paul saga was the talk of New Orleans for a change.
"Our sole focus was and will remain, until we sell this team, hopefully which will be in the first half of 2012, how best to maintain the Hornets, make them as attractive and as competitive as we can and ensure we have a buyer who can keep them in New Orleans," Stern said.
Stern said the team is in negotiations with several potential ownership groups, who, if all goes to plan, will have to accept a new long-term lease in the state-owned New Orleans Arena in order to buy the team.
"The future of the Hornets in New Orleans is brighter than it's ever been," Stern said.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have plenty of reason for optimism themselves.
The 26-year-old Paul is a four-time All-Star who averaged 18.7 points and 9.8 assists last season, his sixth in the NBA. His move to the Clippers means he'll now be able to lob alley-oop passes to one of the best finishers in the game -- one who's famous for dunking over a car. That would be forward Blake Griffin, who averaged 22.5 points and 12.1 rebounds last season, his first as a pro.
Paul will earn $16.4 million this year and has a player option for the 2012-13 season -- in which he is due $17.8 million.
The Hornets get a prolific young shooting guard in Gordon, who turns 23 on Christmas Day and averaged 22.3 points last season. Gordon would be a restricted free agent after this season unless he signs an extension with New Orleans. Hornets general manager Dell Demps said those talks haven't yet started.
The 6-foot-9 Aminu is a second-year pro who averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds as a rookie.
The 7-foot Kaman, 29, is an eight-year veteran who averaged 12.4 points and seven rebounds last season, but played in only 32 games because of a left ankle injury. He's in the last year of his contract, which will pay him $12.2 million this season.
"With this trade, we now have three additional players who were among the top eight draft picks in their respective drafts as well as our own first-round pick and (another) first-round pick," Demps said. "Aminu is a young talent with a bright future, Gordon is a big-time scorer and one of the best (shooting) guards in the league and Kaman is a proven center and former All-Star."
ESPN, citing anonymous sources, first reported the trade, which also involves New Orleans sending two 2015 second-round draft picks to the Clippers.

"We wanted to make sure that we got the best possible deal for a player of Chris' caliber, and we feel great about the outcome," said Jac Sperling, who Stern appointed as the Hornets' governor after the league bought the team in December 2010.
The Hornets can only hope the deal will sit well with fans and area businesspeople, who bought more than 10,000 season tickets despite the lockout in an effort to show the NBA that their community could make the franchise viable for whatever ownership group eventually buys the club.
Paul, whom the Hornets drafted fourth overall in 2005, told New Orleans earlier this month that he was not going to sign an extension, and Demps had been trying to trade him since to avoid losing him in free agency with no compensation after this season.
Demps came close to making a three-team deal last Thursday that would have sent Paul to the Lakers. The Lakers would have sent Lamar Odom to the Hornets and Pau Gasol to Houston, while the Rockets would have sent Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, and a first-round draft choice to New Orleans.
Stern, however, told Demps to take that deal off the table because he thought the Hornets could do better, both in terms of personnel and salary obligations.
While the move caused speculation that Stern was acting against Demps' better judgment, Demps said he and Stern were acting "hand in hand," while Stern said people who anonymously leaked details of the proposed Lakers trade did so because they "were trying to force him to make that deal."
Paul showed up for Hornets training camp last Friday but has not spoken to reporters since. He was excused from a normally mandatory media event on Wednesday, hours before the trade went through, in which players pose for photos in uniform and talk about the upcoming season.

For the Hornets, the urgency to make a deal appeared to be growing, though Demps insisted earlier Wednesday that the Hornets had no timeline and would not be rushed into a "rash decision."
Still, Demps acknowledged it was hard for the Hornets to pursue free agents and further build their roster while Paul's status was in limbo. If trade talks had dragged on much longer, the Hornets could have gone into Friday night's preseason opener at Memphis with little idea of what their roster would look like in their first regular-season game at Phoenix on Dec. 26.
Other than Paul, the Hornets had only five returning veterans under contract: center Emeka Okafor, forward Trevor Ariza, point guard Jarrett Jack, second-year swingman Quincy Pondexter and shooting guard Marco Belinelli.
The additions of Gordon, Aminu and Kaman give New Orleans desperately needed depth, while opening the way for the franchise to further strengthen its roster through free agency.
Meanwhile, the Hornets also could look forward to an additional first-round draft choice next summer. The pick originally belonged to Minnesota, meaning it will be tied to where the Timberwolves finish in the standings this season.
"For the long-term future of the New Orleans Hornets, this is the best deal," Demps said.
