Tony Parker Named Western Conference Player of the Week

San Antonio – The San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker and the Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce today were named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 13, through Sunday, Dec. 19.
Parker averaged 25.7 points on .564 shooting to go along with 8.7 assists. He was third in the conference in scoring and fourth in assists. On Dec. 18, Parker scored a season-high 37 points on .714 shooting versus Memphis. It was the most points scored by a Spur this season and is the 11th game this year he has posted at least 20 points. Parker has helped guide the Spurs to the best record in the NBA and the team’s best start in franchise history at 23-3.

Dec. 15 vs. Milwaukee: Tallied 16 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds in a 92-90 win over the Bucks.
Dec. 16 @ Denver: Recorded 24 points, 9 assists and 2 rebounds in a 113-112 win over the Nuggets.
Dec. 18 vs. Memphis: Poured in 37 points and added 9 assists in a 112-106 victory over the Grizzlies.

This marks the fifth time that Parker has been named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week. He last received the honor for the week of March 23-29 in 2009.

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Detroit’s Tayshaun Prince, Los Angeles Clippers’ Blake Griffin, Miami’s LeBron James, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant, Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge and San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili.

Merci Lady M ça fait plaisir de revoir TP en haut de l'affiche..moi ce qui me fait le plus plaisir c'est que j'ai l'impression qu'il a retrouvé sa vitesse et sa capacité de pénétration qu'il avait perdu l'année dernière..le shoot cela ne sera jamais son fort mais un TP qui ne pénètre plus, il ne vaut plus rien...

Très bonne chose, c'est génial. J'aimerais une fois qu'il chope un titre du joueur du mois, ça serait géant!

Je viens de voir ça, ça fait plaisir. C'est le genre de trucs sans grande importance qui s'additionne, mais qui va finir par rendre bien à la fin de sa carrière...
